Lagoon at Minnippi Parklands
This is one of the rare surviving lagoons from pre-settlement days when low lying areas around the Brisbane. The city fringes featured hundreds of them. but since white man’s arrival most have been filled in. This one is teaming with bird life, and is a joy to sit here and sketch. It is a real beautiful sight, when the lotus flowers are in bloom.

Sketches from my Urban Art Binge workshop

URBAN ART BINGE is run by Emily Fong, and Joannah Underhill.  A fabulous couple of girls, who go out of their way to teach their students how to sketch out this wonderful city of ours.

Today, we were sketching perspective in West End, and ended up at Musgrave Park for the Greek Paniyiri Festival. Here are some of my sketches.
